Sharing Reviews across products?

I have looked through the admin area and throughout the forum for a solution for this. I have some novice experience with css. But am good with html and making my way through code and working things out with a push in the correct direction.

Here is my situation: I have several products that are the same just different flavors or colors (etc.) listed in one category and I want to list them now as just one product and set attributes so a customer does not have to filter through all of the pages to find the one they want. The issue is that I have product reviews on the individual product listings and I want to place those reviews on the new single product. So that customers can still see them. So essentially, combine separate product listings into one product listing and have that one product show the reviews of all of the former products.

I kinda assume that the reviews are stored somewhere in the database - which, sadly is beyond my realm of knowledge... can anyone help??? :smile:

Before doing this consider ...

Currently, you can track stock on all Products individually ...

If you combine these Products to only have the distinction done via Attributes, you will not have the stock counts per color/flavor ... they will be lumped together ...

An alternative might be to look at the Free Software Add Ons for the:
Multi Cross Sell

and see if this can manage this well enough for you, while keeping the Products separately ...
