Can I start a blog on my site?

I am sure I can, but don't know where to start...does anyone have any tips?

Depending on what you want, you can add a subdomain from cpanel and then install wordpress there, or you can look into some of the free-addons that offer blog integration. Just search for "blog" and read the readme on each add-on to get a better idea if their features match what you want to achieve.
