Problem with Carryover of Cookie with custom code

I have a strange issue... I have a Site Entrance that was developed in Cold Fusion. It forces people to have set up an account before entering the store. I have tied the page into the Zen Cart databases for creating an account and for verification purposes. All of it works, except I cannot carry over the cookie that is placed with the <cfset> onto the index.php page for my store. Can anyone help with this? I have verified that the cookie is placed and active. I have tried to carry it in a URL and it does not work. I am sure it is something I am just missing. I figure that there should be a way to place it in a session... Can someone help me with this?
