new products on seperate page

Just curious if its possible to put the new products code onto a different page that has nothing to do with zencart?

Where it says Copperhead fab Product I want that to rotate or be random. Right now I just pointed it to a specific product. I was trying to just put the whole new products link right there but can not figure out how. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible but requires coding.

In principle you need to connect to the database, perform a new products type query, retrieve the appropriate data and build your page using that. It is not that complex but it is coding.

May I ask if it is needed that the page is separate from zen? It is easier to do if you work within the Zen framework even if the page is not styled in the same way?

Well I was just playing around. The old site had its own very simple store. So I kept the layout the same and made zencart to look the same. If its a ton of coding then I really don't want to bother. Thank you for your input.

Also the site I am creating the pages don't look different, but if you click a link on the 216.14.122.101 then it goes to the live site, which doesn't currently have zencart.
