Sounds like your images directory does not have the correct permissions... Should be writable at the lowest level possible.

Start at like 775 and move to 777 if needed and permitted.

Also rename your admin directory https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=33

Thank you for your reply. i am new to this sorry is there a step by step guide to fix this problem. it was working fine until last month not done any kind of upgrade.thanks for your help...

Your hosting company should be able to provide you with step by step instructions for changing your /public_html/images/ folder to be "writable".
Since such instructions are unique to each hosting company's server configuration, they're the best ones to ask for this kind of thing.
