Main Page Blank: Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php'

Hi - I moved from stripeyfrog.com/store to stripeyfrog.com and all was working fine - have made no changes just added products. Now i am back to having to enter stripeyfrog.com/store to see my page and if I look in the error log I have the following msg. Tried putting this in - no change. What am i missing

[09-Sep-2010 05:39:58] PHP Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/include:/usr/lib/php') in /index.php on line 26

The error message is telling you that your /includes/application_top.php file is missing or cannot be read for some reason.

Many thanks for the help, I have via ftp replaced the file but no progress - what else should I be looking for?

includes/application_top.php

• delete the one there now
• re-upload the original
• confirm the file is there and has permissions of 644

Thanks again, I have deleted the file and replaced it, permission is correct. Just to confirm file is located domain.com/store/includes

What is the exact error message? You seem to have edited out important path details when you posted it originally: ie: there was no mention of a /store/ folder there.

Hi there - still struggling and grateful for your time. I put a query into yahoo (yes i know but stuck for the moment) and received the following reply:

We were unable to troubleshoot the current index.php as yahoo!
does not provide support on troubleshooting php files.

If you wish to redirect your index.php to your

Understand this maybe a fix just sure it is something I have done despite the fact that I had it all up and running after finally getting my head around the moving the index.php to the parent directory. Pretty sure I never fiddled with anything after that was busy doing products. But lost as to how to move forward.

LOL .. so Yahoo Support is trying to tell you to undo the move you tried to do. :wacko:

1. Apparently you tried to move your store from a subfolder (/store/index.php) to the parent (/index.php)
2. Now when trying to visit /index.php you're getting errors saying that it can't find /includes/application_top.php
3. but you're saying all should be fine because the file exists in /store/includes/application_top.php
4. Those two locations are different, which confirms that the error message is correct: the file doesn't exist where it's expecting it.

If you're gonna move your store from the /store/ folder to the / folder, then you need to move everything from the /store/ folder up into the / folder. And everything includes all the folders and files that were in the /store/ folder before the move.
