Re: I'd like to make my site multi-lingual...

Start here:

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=40_46

Most language packs install pretty much like any other mod.

Obviously, the language pack will only contain translations of terms in Zencart. Any of your custom content (product descriptions, define page text, etc.) will have to be translated by you.

Find someone who is fluent in the proper language who needs a few bucks.

Re: I'd like to make my site multi-lingual...

Yes I read that...I clarified that I read that. My question is, how do I go about translating this myself?

Does this mean:

I need to update my custom modified files into the languages directory?

Translate myself and cut and paste into the appropriate directory?

Just looking for a firm meaning on this.

You should now have in the /languages folder one for english and one for your other language - -
If that were French then you have an english.php file and a copy of it - translated into french named french.php

You will then also have an english folder and a french folder
Copies of files that require translation from the english folder are translated and uploaded to the french folder

You will have to test pages and determine if there is any text that needs translation
Unless another has done this and packaged it as a language pack already

Re: I'd like to make my site multi-lingual...

i have multi language installed, which is English and Simplified Chinese.
When I added product attribute in chinese to my products, customer can view it all right on the website but the invoice which shows in admin>order is not showing properly. It shows a series of coding instead of Chinese words.
What can I do to solve this?
