Missing cart contents in admin - whos online

I noticed today one of my sites (1.3.9) no longer shows the customers cart contents in the who's online display.

I don't have any admin mods installed and it's a pretty new install.

Did I shoot my foot somewhere with a setting to disable this?

Thanks :shocking:

Re: Missing cart contents in admin - whos online

Does this mean I need to contact my hosting to have it turned OFF in order for me to view the contents of the cart?

If that's the cause of your "problems", then yes.

Re: Missing cart contents in admin - whos online

I don't follow how you fixed the problem kiddo. This morning my site stopped displaying the Whos Online info in my Admin section but will still show it on the sidebar of my live site. You talked about "suhosin.session.encrypt" but I am unsure what you did about it. My code shows the following:

Line #384 : $suhosinSetting = strtoupper(@ini_get('suhosin.session.encrypt'));

Also today my new customer info isn't showing in the Admin section nor are their new orders. I tried making a test order and it never showed in my customers or orders section of the Admin screen. Please help! Very Virgin Zenner here!

Re: Missing cart contents in admin - whos online

the... 'problem' was never fixed. In admin, the "who's online" still doesn't show what they placed in their cart if their icon is green... but I figured it isn't as important to know until they actually make a purchase. At the beginning, I was interested to know what they would consider buying, and should they abandon it, I have something to start from to see why.

An addon like Recover Cart or one of the many mailing-list follow-up addons are more useful tools for the purpose of knowing what they put in their cart and didn't buy.
If you're looking for their pattern of clicking thru things and "where" they abandoned your cart, you can use external analytics tools to track that information generically.
Those are better approaches than looking over your customers' shoulders while they roam around your store, and probably more effective use of your time too.

Re: Missing cart contents in admin - whos online

Version 1.3.9h

No upgrades.

No addons installed recently.

Nothing really custom.

Hosting company is Client Hosting.

I have searched all the forums.

I haven't found any answers.

I noticed the problem this morning about 9am est.

The hosting company moved me to a new server two days ago.

If snooping on your customers is important to you, then be sure to tell your customers you're doing that, and then talk to your hosting company about disabling the suhosin security protections on your site/account.
