how do i get rid of the zencart banner and the sales message here...or how do i edit them

The best thing to do is a search in the Tutorials/FAQ question - these are basic questions which you can find the answers to by doing a search! :-)

No one is going to answer these generic questions. Please use the search feature at the top of the forums and in the Tutorial area to find answers to basic zen cart setup issues.
