No Zencart Templates like this?

Hello everyone. I love the functionality of ZenCart, but the availability of free and payed templates that look decent is low. I am willing to alter some code and change all the graphics, but I can't seem to find a template that has the basic layout that I like. Can anyone suggest a template that has a similar look to that used on this site: jildorshoes.com ? I also like the layout when browsing through products on the stevemadden site.

The layout of that is about as basic as you can get, and is easily obtainable from a stock or free template. You just have to know which features to turn off and what elements to restyle in the stylesheet, along with a few new graphics.
There are some fancy add-ons that use javascript in that site, and you would have to find and incorporate similar ones to get the product page effects. Some may be available in Free Addons.

I haven't studied them to know which would be best for a specific purpose; you can look at (sorry, site offline) to check them out.
Two-column or three-column layout is usually irrelevant when evaluating templates, as a sidebar can be turned off with one switch in admin.

I really liked Modern Zen [RI07] Template, but it seems to work poorly with the latest version of Zencart, and from the thread also has poor support. the Jildorshoes.com site i think is perfect in simplicity.

The Cold Steel template looks clean and sharp already, and may be a good base for modification. I'm sure there are others that would also work well.

Jildorshoes.com is nice and clean, but I do notice that you can't use their main navigation without javascript. That's poor planning... or an attitude that everybody should just let js run all the time.
