Space above the header background

Hi all,

Quite new with all of this, I have a good knowledge of html, php and css but I'm a tad stuck on something which is niggling me.

I've customising the standard style for my needs, but something I've done has removed the gap from above the header background image. I've tried adding padding in the css for the header backgroud image but it doesn't do the trick.

I've only really changed css code and a small amount of php, but it was mainly set variables, nothing that would change the appearance.

Any help appreciated!

Sorry, wasn't too sure about posting links, re the no advertising thing.

The site is http://www.madebyang.co.uk/ - I've temporarily sorted it by adding 12 pixels above the pink background, it works but I'm not sure if it was like that previously or I had moved/adjusted something that made it disappear. As it is, it looks fine for what I was wanting, but any advice much appreciated.
