drop ship po module resetting default contractor

using 1.3.9f and everytime I add a new contractor it changes all my products to that contractor as the default. Can anyone help so I don't have to manually reset them everytime I add a new contractor?

A contractor is the DROPSHIPPER/SUPPLIER.
