Inserting GIF Animation to main page

Hi I'm having trouble inserting a GIF animation file to the main page. I've tried using the HTML tool in the text editor by putting in my URL and it's not working. I've checked to see if the file is in the right folder, which it is. I thought about inserting this web address to the actual php file of main page but I have no idea how to code it or where to even find it. Help!

Um ... the image isn't showing because the file doesn't exist.

It's actually in that folder and no matter how many times I upload it, it doesn't show up.

Then I suggest you talk to your hosting company to sort out what's wrong with your server.
