Template Customisation Confusion of the Noob Variety

Hi there,

Is anybody out there able to tell me how to set about doing the following.

Within the element .centerColumn I want to place three images to create a box around the content of .centerColumn.

I'm not at all sure what to do. I tried to find out about wrappers and what they're all about but I didn't have any luck and I so I'm totally guessing; Do I make wrappers such as #centerColumnWrapper #centerColumnWrapperTop #centerColumnWrapperBase and position them with the images as their background?

Or is that just stupid? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I assume you want this on the home page....
In the admin > tools > define page editor > select main_page.php and enter html code to get desired result

Er...actually no, I need the box that I want to create to make the .centerColumn look the same on all the pages. I was so keen for a solution there that I wasn't thinking properly. There must be some way to do this though? Does anybody have any ideas?

Seems as though you will be using space that should be devoted to presenting your shoppers with what you sell and why they are there,
instead you want to present them with the same unproductive content that they must scroll past to get to what they are interested in????

Re: Template Customisation Confusion of the Noob Variety

Er...no I think maybe I've not explained this very well.

What I want to do is create a round cornered 'box' with a nice border on top of which my content can sit.

Kind of like this site here but with the box not extending to include the left sideboxes.

I can't discover how to do this. On that site it appears to be done with wrappers but I can't discover any FAQ's or how-to's regarding these.

Does anybody know how I can make a round cornered box with a top and bottom image and then a centre image that repeats/tiles according to the size of the content in the .centercolumn. I've been trying to work out how to do this for two days now and it'd be really cool if somebody could point me in the right direction. Cheers.
