How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

Hi, dear zeners .

How to remove or sort manufacturer images shown after products in my categories, because of them my right sidebox goes crazy.
I want to remove images shown only after products in categories beacause i'm using them instead of manufacturer names in my left sidebox.

Look here http://www.parfumite.biz/za-maje.

Thanks in advance.

How to remove or sort manufacturer images shown after products in my categories,
I do not see them in your listing area???

Of note your sidebox is about 150px wide and one of the logos is 167px × 32px
You should crack out your graphics editor and size them appropriately

Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

I solved 50% of the problem . After removing manufacturers filter from admin>configure>product listing>Display Category/Manufacturer Filter (0=off; 1=on) evrything is OK but i need that filter. Is there any other solution to this prob .

Txs.

For the logos i know that they don't fit sidebox but i like it that way.
Can you check again , manufacturers filter is on and the problem is a quite a visible now.

One more thing English area is under construction , you should use bulgarian language to see it my way :) .

Thank you for your support

Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

That looks not to be a ZenCart feature - - might be the template
It is not in a div and in an un-named table from your source

<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1">
  <tr>
<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=3"><img src="images/manufacturers/Azzaro-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Azzaro" title=" Azzaro " width="167" height="32" /></a></td>
<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=2"><img src="images/manufacturers/Burberry-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Burberry" title=" Burberry " width="120" height="40" /></a></td>
<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=1"><img src="images/manufacturers/Bvlgari-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Bvlgari" title=" Bvlgari " width="120" height="40" /></a></td>

<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=5"><img src="images/manufacturers/Calvin Klein-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Calvin Klein" title=" Calvin Klein " width="160" height="40" /></a></td>
<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=39"><img src="images/manufacturers/Paco Rabanne -parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Paco Rabanne" title=" Paco Rabanne " width="160" height="35" /></a></td>
  </tr>

-Not needed

Only solution that i see is to remove manufacturers filter and to edit second "character" filter to match manufacturer names . Only thing is that i do not know how to do it :).
If anybody have idea ... i'll be waiting for it.

Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

kobra:

Find file where the table is defined and comment it out

I found this in defaukt_filter.php

// Get the right image for the top-right
  $image = DIR_WS_TEMPLATE_IMAGES . 'table_background_list.gif';
  if (isset($_GET['manufacturers_id'])) {
    $sql = "select manufacturers_image
              from   " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . "
              where      manufacturers_id = '" . (int)$_GET['manufacturers_id'] . "'";

    $image_name = $db->Execute($sql);
    $image = $image_name->fields['manufacturers_image'];

  } elseif ($current_category_id) {

    $sql = "select categories_image from " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . "
            where  categories_id = '" . (int)$current_category_id . "'";

    $image_name = $db->Execute($sql);
    $image = $image_name->fields['categories_image'];
  }
?>

The problem might be here .?

Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

Hi zenners.

Is there any way to edit default_filter, so manufacturer images to not be seen after products in categories page, or to modify alpha_filter somehow to shows instead of letters -> manufacturers .

All is because of this

Thanks.

Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

If you're talking about the manufacturer logos which show at the VERY BOTTOM of your page, kobra is correct: Those do NOT come from built-in Zen Cart code. They're something you've added, or which are part of the template you've selected.

Messing with default_filter IS NOT the solution to your problem.

As kobra told you, you need to find the section of code IN YOUR TEMPLATE and remove it. This is the HTML from your site which you need to remove:```

<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1"> <tr> <td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=3"><img src="images/manufacturers/Azzaro-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Azzaro" title=" Azzaro " width="167" height="32" /></a></td> <td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=2"><img src="images/manufacturers/Burberry-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Burberry" title=" Burberry " width="120" height="40" /></a></td> <td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=1"><img src="images/manufacturers/Bvlgari-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Bvlgari" title=" Bvlgari " width="120" height="40" /></a></td> <td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=5"><img src="images/manufacturers/Calvin Klein-parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Calvin Klein" title=" Calvin Klein " width="160" height="40" /></a></td> <td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&filter_id=39"><img src="images/manufacturers/Paco Rabanne -parfumite.biz.jpg" alt="Paco Rabanne" title=" Paco Rabanne " width="160" height="35" /></a></td> </tr> </table> ```

I'll serch for manufacturers_image una template files and hope i'm in the right way.

Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?

Problem is in tpl_index_product_list.php in MY_TEMPLATE>templates.

After I change ```php
$manufacturer_image_sort_query = "select m.manufacturers_id, m.manufacturers_name, m.manufacturers_image,
mi.manufacturers_url
from " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m
left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS_INFO . " mi
on (m.manufacturers_id = mi.manufacturers_id
and mi.languages_id = '" . (int)$_SESSION['languages_id'] . "'), " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p
where p.manufacturers_id = '" . (int)$options[$i]['id'] . "'
and p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id";

            $manufacturer_image_sort = $db->Execute($manufacturer_image_sort_query);
            if ($manufacturer_image_sort->RecordCount() > 0) {

   echo '<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=' . $cPath . '&filter_id=' . $options[$i]['id'] . '">' . zen_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $manufacturer_image_sort->fields['manufacturers_image'], $manufacturer_image_sort->fields['manufacturers_name']) . '</a></td>'."\r\n";
  }

to

```php
$manufacturer_image_sort_query = "select m.manufacturers_id, m.manufacturers_name, m.manufacturers_NAME,
                                  mi.manufacturers_url
                           from " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m
                           left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS_INFO . " mi
                           on (m.manufacturers_id = mi.manufacturers_id
                           and mi.languages_id = '" . (int)$_SESSION['languages_id'] . "'), " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p
                           where  p.manufacturers_id  = '" . (int)$options[$i]['id'] . "'
                           and p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id";
                $manufacturer_image_sort = $db->Execute($manufacturer_image_sort_query);
                if ($manufacturer_image_sort->RecordCount() > 0) {
       echo '<td><a href="/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=' . $cPath . '&filter_id=' . $options[$i]['id'] . '">' . zen_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $manufacturer_image_sort->fields['manufacturers_NAME'], $manufacturer_image_sort->fields['manufacturers_name']) . '</a></td>'."\r\n";
      }
is a litle better but ... see yourself
Re: How to hide manufacturer image in category ?
Didn't you say that you want to NOT show the manufacturer links in the bottom of the page? If so, why aren't you just removing that code from the template?
