Lite Red remove the -> symbol after a categories name having subcategories

I am using Zen Cart v1.3.9 and have applied the lite red template from 12leaves.com and am not able to remove the -> characters after the categorty having subcategories in the left side bar. Ideally I would like to use a picture indicate that this category has subcategories.

In the picture I want to remove the two characters -> that follow A Top Level Category or Sale Deduction or Sale New Price.

Any help woudl be appreciated.

Thanks, that worked out really great. As a follow up I would like to show a small image at the end of the category which has a subcategory instead of -> in the side bar.
