Installing Cart on Other URL

I have a couple of websites and need to copy my already functioning zencart website to 3 other sites, all with a different URL and different information, language and options. I made a backup of my database, installed Zencart to the second URL and used the backup to overwrite the basic install information. I adjusted the configure.php files to the correct website URL but it just doesn't work. Help! :blink:

this one has the same info (it worked earlier but kept linking to the other one when clicking anything) but doesnt work: https://www.pentagramz.nl

i am totally new to this and actually never used a shopping cart thingamee before but i made it work in 3 weeks... still i dont know how to fix this...

I adjusted the configure.php files to the correct website URL
also have to ensure correct database settings/password are changed
to reflect duplicate web site.

yeah i set all those things to the correct settings too... its so weird

okay so i followed all steps in the FAQ about putting my site on another server (https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=100)... now i can get into the admin area (without any layout that i have on the other site) but the site itself wont work... http://www.pentagramz.nl/
the site that i copied it from still works (good thing too or i would not make any money), but the new site just wont work

Actually mate, you need to check the two files:

includes/configure.php

and

admin/includes/configure.php

The paths are not set correctly there on your store.

I can fix that for you if you need!

Actually, mate, incorrect configure entries won't cause a permissions error.

which sounds like you have it installed in a subfolder (not familiar with how your host's filepaths are set up). Are you sure you have all of the filepaths set correctly?

Yeah I just removed everything I had on there cuz it was annoying me since I kept getting stupid error messages. It was in the right folder, but stuff just kept going wrong.
So I just installed it clean on the other URL and will start all over again. And now my WORKING website seems to have patching issues... So now THAT one doesnt work either...
I am SO gonna toss my laptop out the window if this keeps happening. Any suggestions on the patching issues? Is that a server-side problem? I already wrote them, but knowing them I wont hear back from them til next week and Im losing customers this way!!!
