Add to Cart Button under Product image

I am using Zencart version 3.8a.

I have been searching the forums for days now but no success.

Some of my Product descriptions are very long and so an "add to cart button" is at the bottom of the page.

What I want to accomplish is to have my product image a clickable link which when clicked does the same function as the "Add to Cart button" underneath. I use the same picture sizes so was hoping instead of the link directing me to a larger picture popup, it must add the clicked image product to the shopping cart.

In other words, I want both the product image and the words "large image" to do the same job as the Add to Cart Button.

I have played around with the tpl_modules_main_product_image.php file but I keep getting an error.

Well, when i realized there was an alternative solution, I just duplicated the ADD TO CART button, so I have one on top and one at the very bottom.

I would not recommend to make the product image to function as add to cart button as most people on the internet usually assume that clicking an image either enlarge the product image, or to view further product information.

By making the image clickable as an add to cart function, you might scare them away in my opinion.

Try to stick with the simple approach, and if you want, design your button add to cart to stand out, dress it up with nice colors and make it obvious without being too desperate :smile:
