Special Mod in the admin area

In the admin area when you are setting up special for the products. There is a box with list of different products is there a faster way to find the product like entering the product model then enter the special price and so forth?

If you know the products_id you can use in the right panel:

Select
Product ID to be Manually Added as a Special

That won't help because I have over 500 products the way you saying is takes to much my time to find it and enter it.

You can try ...

Go to the Products Price Manager ...

Enter in the Search the Model ...

Click on the Green $ for the Product ...

Add the Special ...

That isn't what I want that is just changing the price. Back to special mod. is there a way to change from Product ID to Product Model # were I can get the special set up. The other isn't for special where I can set the date when the specials starts and end.

You can customize the code anyway that you would like ...

I might suggest adding a second method so both are available to you ...

I really don't know when I would have the time to write the code for this for you ... while it is not difficult, it is time consuming ...

You could write it yourself by cloning the sections where you see the:
pre_add
pre_add_confirmation

and make your own where it does a search on the model to find the products_id then uses that to trigger the:

If you are not proficient in php coding ... you might look to hire someone to write it for you ... one source might be our Commercial Help Wanted forum ...
