Aberdeen Neutral Template Support Thread

Twitter and Facebook icons, not completly clickable

I can't figure this out, basically the icons in the footer for facebook and twitter (but twitter especially), don't seem to be completely clickable, as in only the top half of the icon is a link and can be clicked on.

I get this on my wifes site and this site
http://www.picaflor-azul.com/free-demos/index.php?main_page=index&template_switch_id=aberdeen_neutral

I have tested in opera 11, Firefox 4, and chrome (can't test in IE9 as it is broken on my machine).

Its weird there basically seems to be a dead spot (unclickable patch) on each of the icons

on the twitter icon the dead patch starts just below the crossbar on the t and goes down to about 1px above the bottom of the icon?

anyone else seeing this

Re: Aberdeen Neutral Template Support Thread

Ok, I think its being caused by the sitelegal div overlapping the socialmedia div,

I have changed the width of the sitelegal div from 100% to 80% and that seems to have fixed it.

Just need to check in olde browsers and IE

Yes this is the fix. I am already aware of this and have added it to the list for a future update of the template package.

Thanks,

Anne

This question has already been asked and answered many times. Read the install.txt file and follow the configuration settings.

THanks,

Anne

I would recommend re-upload the javascript file and define_main_page.php file from the template package.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Aberdeen Neutral Template Support Thread

Hi,

I am using zencart version 1.3.9h (just installed it on webhostinghub.com) and trying to replace default green template with the cool Aberdeen Neutral Template... Here is what I did for the replacement:

I downloaded the zip file and extracted it on my local drive in the folder aberdeen_neutral ...

uploaded the entire folder to /includes/Templates...Here is what I have now...

/includes/Templates

classic
template_default
aberdeen_neutral

I've added snapshot from both the admin menu and FTP files to confirm what I did...

I don't see any option to change the template via zencart admin -> tools -> template selection

Please advice

Thanks in advance

Re: Aberdeen Neutral Template Support Thread

You should be copying the includes directory and all of its contents from the template package to the directory above your includes directory on your server.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Aberdeen Neutral Template Support Thread

Just so I get it correctly...

you want me to upload new template folders (such as admin, cache, docs, download, includes, etc) and other files (such as install.txt, index.php) to the root directly (keeping the new template folder structure)...

a dumb question, isn't that going to replace existing folders...?

I'll do as per your suggestion, once I'll get your confirmation...

Thanks...

The template zip file comes with an includes directory. There is no admin, cache, etc. You need to copy the includes directory to your server. If you are using filezilla you will drag and drop the includes directory (from the template package) to the directory above the includes directory on your server. This is the directory that contains admin, cache, etc.

Thanks,

Anne
