page is stretched but in css it was set to be 960px

Hello everybody!

I have a question about the layout please.
My layout was suddenly stretched with no more space on the right and left but I actually didnt touch the css and the maincontentwrapper is still set to 960px. The last file that I touched was the tpl_main_page.php.

I was trying to hide the left boxes on the checkout page when it happened and I did it at tpl_main_page.php. Is there any other file aside from the css that dictates the general layout of all the pages? Thank you so much, any help will be very much appreciated.

Your stylesheet.css file is missing

#mainWrapper {width: 960px; margin: 0 auto; }

went i went back to my stylesheet.css, the mainwrapper had a dot before it instead of the # sign. so i changed it and now everything is on the left with 960px width. (no longer stretched, thank you!!)how do i make everything be in the center? please excuse my stupidity but sigh, i'll sit down and study css for zen cart one of these days.

Your stylesheet now has a two mainWrapper sections. that's fine and normal, but the one that comes second resets your margin for this ID to "0". It would need to be "0 auto" to center the page.

remove #mainWrapper from the following:

#headerWrapper, #contentMainWrapper, #logoWrapper, #cartBoxListWrapper, #ezPageBoxList, #cartBoxListWrapper ul, #ezPageBoxList ul, #mainWrapper, #popupAdditionalImage, #popupImage {
margin:0;
padding:0;
}

and add the padding:0 to the following:

#mainWrapper {
margin:auto;
text-align:left;
vertical-align:top;
width:900px;
}
