New to ZC

Hello,
I have not built a site with ZC yet, however the site I will be building soon has me asking two questions.

1. I would like to use ZC to show large boats (yachts) which require the display of as many as 75 images per listing, as well as a description page, is there a way to have so many images for each boat I need to list using Zen Cart?
2. I have loaded ZC and set up a testing server on my computer but I can not get the Mercury mail to work. Does Mercury Mail work with a testing server, or must I be on a live server for it to work?

   ZenCart has a native additional image function but for your intended use it would look more professional to integrate a slide show/gallery into the product area

   There is no need for a mail server on a test environment
