Coupon code to "unlock" certain products

I have a product that I can only sell to certain people that have been pre-approved to buy it. I was wondering if there is anyway that I can hide the product from the general public and those certain customers could enter a code into the search or coupon code area to "unlock" the product so they can buy it. Any ideas?

I am running v1.3.9 and my store is here

Something like this?

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=1389

It has to be merged for 1.3.9

That would be great to try. But I have no idea how to get it working with 1.3.9 :( I have asked around before to those who can do the merging on mods , but I either get turned down or no reply.

Check the Commercial Help Wanted section here in the forum or just Google "install zen cart module"
