UPS Shipping Rate From 2 Different Locations

I have a client whose products ship from either Tennessee or Nebraska, depending on the product. I have installed the XML UPS module and it will calculate based on one but not both locations. Is anyone aware of a work around to do this? It seems the store would have to know which products shipped from where to do the calculation, also. So, the products would have to be differentiated some way, too?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

There are only 3 manufacturers and we have noted that the customer can only place an order from certain manufacturers at a time so they will be coming from the same warehouse (state). That way the freight could be calculated correctly, but the UPS module only does one warehouse location at a time.

You could write customizations to the UPS shipping module to check what manufacturers_id is in the shopping cart ... then change the shipping information to use that manufacturers shipping information ...

Then, customize the manufacturers info to have the shipping information that is needed for that manufacturer ...

It would take a bit of customization, but it can be done ...

Wonder if any one out there has done this on their store and would be willing to provide information on it?
