How do I put a border around the New Products Image ? v 3.9.1g

I'm using v 3.9.1g. How do I put a border around the New Products Image ? I've been experimenting with the CSS stylesheet, but have not been able to get a border around the product image on the main page for the New Products area. i.e. a border just around the images not the image and text, which I have already tried, but it messed up the images per row.

Thus I just want a 1 px black border around the actual image itself in the New Products for the month section on the main page.

Thanks,

Re: How do I put a border around the New Products Image ? v 3.9.1g

Is it possible to have a 1 px black border around the actual product image, in the New Products for the month section on the main page. If so how ? I imagine it's done via stylesheet.css, but what commands ?

Thanks,

I don't have an online site yet, but I'm using a copy of the default template. Nothing fancy. I just want a 1 px black border around the actual image itself in the New Products for the month section on the main page.

Thanks,

You can try adding this to your stylesheet but it may break the display as there is not the extra realestate for even a 1px border

.centerBoxContentsNew {
        border: 1px solid #000000;
        }

Re: How do I put a border around the New Products Image ? v 3.9.1g

Thanks, I did try that as you've posted above, which puts the border around the image and text and yes does not fit in the standard 750 px template, however I really want the border just around the image and not the text.

The text is variable so it produces inconsistent display results, so I would prefer not to put a border around it as it gets distorted depending on the product description text string length. There must surely be a way to get the border just around the image in the New products list. I've done it with the product listing successfully.

Actually I've just got it working. Just gave myself a hint from above. i.e. I looked at how it was done for the product listing. I added the ** img, #productMainImage ** So this does it below.

.centerBoxContentsNew img, #productMainImage {
border: 1px solid #000000;
}

Thanks,

Re: How do I put a border around the New Products Image ? v 3.9.1g

Thus in summary;

stylesheet.css additional configuration

Border around image only

.centerBoxContentsNew img, #productMainImage {
border: 1px solid #000000;
}

Border around image and text

.centerBoxContentsNew {
border: 1px solid #000000;
}

Thanks,
