i want to design my own site

hey i havent done anything to customize my installation so far.
i know html and php pretty well, and i want to design the site myself, from scratch, i dont want to hunt around for the specific div's i want to change and try to identify what styles are affecting it.

i just want to do it all myself, and use the cart linkage zencart provides.
is this possible?

using v1.3.9h

Yes but why???
You need very little php to create/replicate a style as this is in graphics and css

Re: i want to design my own site

Try the web developer plugin for firefox to identify the particular id's and classes from the stylesheet and customize them your way.

Re: i want to design my own site

thanks for replying, i like the fire-fox idea, i should have thought of that.
also.... is there a 'proper way'(without just deleting them out of index.php) to disable EVRYTHING except the basic add to cart, shipping and checkout stuff??
i dont want anyone to have to login, and i dont need any other special features

NO, and even deleting them will only break the code
There are addons to get this in the free software addons link above left

The basic reason is maintaining "SECURITY"
