New Customer Name not displaying in Admin Box

Greetings...

I just upgraded from v.1.3.9.g to .h and everything went fine as usual except...

In the admin view, the "New Customer" names are not appearing in the appropriate column but the date column has the date they signed up. I signed up as a test customer, placed an ordered, and everything is fine except the display on the admin panel as noted. The "New Orders" box has the customers name, date, and order amount as appropriate. Any ideas what to look at?

Before posting this question I went to Tools>Store Manger and ran the various utilites. My level as a zen is a ZERO.

Re: New Customer Name not displaying in Admin Box

I went back through the installation, cleared the cache, and this is the message I get when I click on the admin logo to refresh the admin page...

This is what I see in /store/ranch/includes/functions/general.php, lines 37 through 47...

    if ($protected == true) {

    } else {
      if ($translate == false) {
        return zen_parse_input_field_data($string, array('"' => '"'));
      } else {
        return zen_parse_input_field_data($string, $translate);
      }
    }

Using an older version of PHP?

What PHP version is listed if you visit Admin->Tools->Server Info ?

Re: New Customer Name not displaying in Admin Box

In order to restore the customer names into the "New Customers" box on the Admin Home, I simply copied from 1.3.9.g, admin/includes/functions/general.php. The "New Customers" panel box is restored, everything seems to be working and there are no more debug messages in the cache.

Is it possible that something is wrong with general.php in 1.3.9.h?

This stuff is way beyond me but I figured, through the debug text, that if the file was working before the upgrade, may be the old one would still work. There might be other implications that I would not be able to forecast in using the old file but I will watch the cache for errors.

Re: New Customer Name not displaying in Admin Box

Don't do that ...

Put back the proper general.php function file ...

Then, because you have an older php version, follow the changes from this post:

Re: New Customer Name not displaying in Admin Box

I sent my host a support request for updating the PHP version. They have been very responsive in the past, may be they will work on it.

Re: New Customer Name not displaying in Admin Box

Thanks Ajeh, it was quick and easy work. I search for quite a while this morning looking for something like post you referenced. Quite a bit of stuff to sift through. Might be time to pack my files and move!
