Attributes overwritten when same product is added

I'm having a problem with multiple attributes at the moment and its driving me crazy!

The problem is that I have several attributes attached to each product in my cart. If two products (each with different attributes) are added to the cart then the original product (with all selected attributes) have been overwritten. The cart does show a qty of 2 but both have the same attributes. I'd like to find away so that i can have all orders in a category marked as unique and therefore each product (with attributes) would append in the cart.

Has anyone had this issue before and solved it or maybe a workaround?

I'm using version 1.3.8
I have Attributes by grid layout, blank side box, lightbox, applezen drop down menu, newsletter subscribe and image handler installed. The URL is http://minimojos.com/index.php currently its not displaying correctly in IE7 and below - which i'm working on. FF and opera are fine though.

Sounds like a Known bug in v1.3.8 ...

NOTE: all of these and more are in the current release of v1.3.9 from our Home page download ... you really want to upgrade ...

Thanks for the advice - I going to attempt and upgrade! Hopefully all will go well.

It is always a good idea to make a Test database from the Live database and a Test directory to practice the Upgrade ...

This way you do not break the Live Site ... :unsure:

NOTE: Backups of both your database and website are your friend ... :cool:
