What does this (admin/includes/classes/transliteration/) folder do?

Hi,

Can anybody tell me what this folder admin/includes/classes/transliteration/ and its contents does? It seems to be slowly building up a number of small PHP files. I am currently upgrading and wondering if I need to keep this folder and its contents.

Currently using zencart 1.3.8a if that helps.

Are you sure that you've described this correctly. That folder is part of the URI Mapping module and contains data that is used to transliterate database information stored in UTF8 format into the ASCII format needed for web addresses.

However, these files are installed with the mod. They shouldn't build up, slowly or otherwise. Have you checked the file creation dates?

I thought they may have had something to do with the URI mod.

Prehaps, I have the wrong impression about them building up - lack of sleep lately.
