Check out not working all of a sudden

Hi all,

Something has happened on one of my sites. All of a sudden the checkout process is not working.

You can go thru the whole order process and when you get to the last stage - payment, the screen goes white and the transaction is not completed. It happens for both paypal and check/money order.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Clean install or an Upgrade?

What version of php?

What has changed on your server since it last worked correctly?

If using Zen Cart v1.3.9 ... what debug logs are in the /cache directory?

If using older, outdated versions ... you can get from the Free Software Add Ons the"
Debug Tool

then trigger the error and see what log files are generated ...

You would download the Free Add On for the Debug Tool add on and then try a checkout and trigger the error ...

I am afraid, that is a myth ... never assume anything ... verify what version of php you are running in your Tools ... Server Info ...

Using that old, outdated and insecure version ... have you updated it with all of the Known Bug Fixes:

NOTE: the current version of Zen Cart has all of these bug fixes and security issues and more ...

If you have not done this, then you will want to take your site Down for Maintenance and review your database and files on the server concerning hacker issues:

There have been recent issues with older versions of Zen Cart and GoDaddy and some other hosting providers that have been the results of hackers ...

PHP Version - 5.2.12

I just noticed in the Cpnael that we are over our allotted disc space usage we have 450 available and we are at 455.3.

Might that be causing the problem?

It is definitely something to address ...

Whether or not that is the issue is another story ... usually, that issue would reflect in other places as well but definitely address that asap ...
