Can't get the information links working

Hi,
I've currently installed Zen Cart 1.3.8 (not quite the latest version, but my webhost had an easyapp installation for this version!) on a Linux server, with eStoreNow template, and have been getting on fine with add-ons, adding products with easyPopulate, customising the look etc. etc. but I must be doing something really stupid because I cannot get the links on the default information sidebox working!

For example the 'Shipping and Reutrns' link automatically goes to http://mywebsiteforexample.com/shippinginfo.html and comes up with a 404 error.

From admin->Define Pages Editor, I can view and edit the define_shippinginfo.php pages etc, if I want. Is it an .htaccess issue (I also installed the SEO URLs addon which edits the .htaccess file), or have I done something daft!

Thanks for anyone who can help a newbie! :bigups:

Re: Can't get the information links working

Best advice I can offer now is to stop everything and install the latst, much more secure, 1.3.9h version manually. Even if the version you have includes the security patches, it's nowhere near as secure as the latest one. Your path problem is caused by the 'SEO' mod. Don't use it when you re-install.

Re: Can't get the information links working

Thanks for the advice. I'm just upgrading now. I know the SEO add-on doesn't really make any difference in SEO terms (although a hot topic debated many a time), but I do prefer the naming convention. I guess I can live without it.
