Add Affiliate hoplinks and Image to Side banner boxes

Hi, hope someone here can help, I am having a problem getting affiliate hop-links to work in zen cart 1.3.9g. I went to the banner manager in admin and found the one that I wanted to change, which is the ad for the zen cart manual on the top right side with the picture of the book in it. I know I am in the right place because the book image is now gone. The problem is that in the banner manager I cleared the URL and the image entries, added the hop-link HTML to the HTML box at the bottom and updated. when I view the zen cart page on my website all I see in the banner box is the HTML code, no image, no mouse over text over the box and no mouse over text in the status bar at the bottom of the browser page. I have no image stored for the ad because it is loaded from the vendors site, the hop-link works fine on my static web page, HTML only no css or php.

Any clues as to what I may be doing wrong?

I'm not sure if the bug in version 1.3.9g affected the Banner Manager, but upgrading to 1.3.9h might fix the problem.

As stevesh has suggested, going to v1.3.9h will fix the problem ...

Upgrade to v1.3.9h then edit the Banner and save it and this will resolve the code issue on the HTML ...
