How do I uinstall "Stock Bt Attributes"?

I'm trying to install Stock By Attributes addon - but the following instructions begin with a reference to a "stylesheet.css" file that isn't even in the addon package. Needless to say when installed nothing works.

*There are six core Zen Cart files modified by this add-on. If you have installed other add-ons or customised your cart since your Zen Cart installation or upgrade, you will need to check whether they have changed any of the following files:

•admin/includes/stylesheet.css
•admin/orders.php
•admin/includes/functions/general.php
•includes/classes/order.php
•includes/functions/functions_lookups.php
•includes/modules/pages/checkout_shipping/header_php.php
•includes/modules/pages/shopping_cart/header_php.php
In addition, one file is over-ridden

•includes/templates*/template_default/templates/tpl_shopping_cart_default.php

This is day two of my efforts to get a simple stock management system up and running. Is Zen Cart always such a headache?

Sorry but the instructions for installation are not clear at all. I have read though them again and do not have a clue where to begin. I do not kow which files to upload - I had thought it was those "core 6" files but apparently it is not. It would be really nice to have clear instructions if possible. I could probably continue to experiment for another week or so and work it out through trial and error but it does seem like a lot of time might be wasted in the process. Is nobody else using this module? I can't imagine anyone being able to install it.

install instructions:

Prepare the package for upload to your server by renaming the following folders to match your template name: includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE and includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE.

If you are installing onto a new install or upgrade of Zen Cart 1.3.5 or later then with most good FTP programs (such as FileZilla) you can simply drag and drop the admin and includes directories into the root directory of your site. The files are already arranged in their directory structure.

The first file listed for renaming doesn't exist for a start!

Other than that there are five files and four folders unzipped from the download. Which ones (assuming the renaming issue is solved) have to be uploaded and to which directory. Do I take the parent folder and send it over so that nothing is overwritten? Do I change the "admin" name and upload in a manner that overwrites my present installation.

There is no file to correct corresponding to "includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE" Try downloading the package and looking for it. If nevcessary I will download again myself.

I will upload "admin" and " includes" to my root directoy, however my original "admin" was renamed for security and my original "includes" in the same root directory was not renamed. I am just worried that this will not function in a sensible manner.

Rename the modules admin folder to that of your new admin folder name....

OK Thanks - the module seems to be working now. I'm still not confident having not found that file to rename but it just isn't there so it might be due to the instructions being out of date or something. I also moved the "ajax" folder across and the "module" one too just in case they are used for something.

I don't get this either:

Many of the changes made to this add-on from its previous incarnation were to support proper language support in the Admin functions and an additional "stock available + quantity" message in the shopping cart. To take advantage of these facilities three files need to be created. As a guide, I have included my translations of these files into French in the release pack. If you are using a language other than French, edit the directory paths from "french" to your language and similarly edit the three files.

I will be using french as well as english - but I can't identify the three files the author is writing about and can't make much sense of this.

That is only for a French admin - if you admin in English do not worry about it

I'll be using English admin myself but I'm setting up the site for French people to operate it. If there is a simple way to understand and execute the author's intended advice then I'd appreciate it.

i believe the admin can only have one language

I thought the admin could switch too? Thought I read that somewhere. Perhaps not.

It does - just changed it to french.

Still don't have a clue what the author was trying to say but so far everythng seems to work.

I will be re-writing the read me / install file, when I submit my version for the contribution page.
