Images on don't show on the define_main_page .php

Hello everybody,
I added image to the main page center of my site but the images don't show up on my computer (1440x400 pixels).

I uploaded my images on the server and inserted them in the define_main_page.php. using the text editor of zencart.
The images don't show up in the html area of the editor nor on the homepage.

When i check my home page on another computer (1024x768pixels) the pictures are showing up.

I really don't understand.

I edited the source code of the homepage on my computer and on the other computer.
The html code concerning the added images doesn't appear on my computer.
It appears on the other computer.

Does anybody know where does this difference come from and how to set it?

If your site is loading on other computers.

Try emptying your cache and internet cookies in your browser.

It shouldn't matter what resolution your computer is setup to display as this is not related to the website.

I deleted all cookies and cache using the "inetcpl.cpl" command when IE8 was closed.
But the images don't load.

Some others possibilities?

If other users can see your website but you cant it is something to do with your computer.

Have you tried viewing it through different browsers on your PC?

IE, Firefox and Chrome?

If you can see the website in other browsers its probably ie.

In regards to clearing cache. when the site is loaded try a force refresh.

hold control down and press f5 when you are at you site.

Haven't used inetcpl.cpl before. Just used the standard tools in IE to empty cache etc..

Whats your web address so I can see if images are visible to me?

There are 4 banners that I can't see.
I tried to see my page with Firefox to. The pictures don't appear.

I used dreamweaver to make the lay out of this page.

I tried the force refresh as you advised me. But the images don't appear.

Check your PM.

In regards to this issue. Though it is frustrating. Don't fret. Your website is working and you will work it out.

In PM check DNS cache MSG. I have experienced what you have before.. I think from memory it solved my issue.

I visited my site with Firefox and got the same problem. Then I tried to visit your link: http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=979&bih=558&q=ie+browser+cache+and+cookies+NOT+deleting&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=9dfb89484a9f1bc

And this is very strange because no page appeared.
I just had:
" Web History | Search settings | Sign in"
on the top right of the page.

It never arrived before.

Then I followed your second link and tried what is described.
But it didn't work, i have the same problems. I can't see my banners nor your first link page.

In this second link you gave me, at the end of the page it is written "you can perform the following procedure to force your computer to access the new site.". But there is no procedure or link toward a procedure. Didn't I understand something?

After that I searched on internet about how to clear DNS cache and i found the "ipconfig /flushdns" command that I tried.
But I still have the problem.

I know that my page should appear on other computers and that is a very good thing.
But I would prefer to understand why this happen on mine, moreover it may help other than me.

What's the URL to the site?

The images show fine for me, too.

Do you see "product" images properly? Or is it just these 5 images from your define-page that are problematic for you?

What happens if you paste the following into your browser directly?
'http://NAME_OF_YOUR_SITE_HERE.com/images/banners/Christmas_table_settings.jpg
Do you get a "broken image" placeholder? or an error? or a red box with an X in it?

What browser are you viewing this with?
What security level do you have your browser set to?

What operating system software are you running on your computer?
And are you running things like firewall applications, antivirus applications, "safe surfing" applications, etc?

This appears to be a problem occurring on your computer itself, and not something wrong with the Zen Cart software.

hmm.. geez this is a tough one.

As Doc Byte mentioned it is to do with your PC.

I assume your internet is working and you don't have a virus.

Also assuming that your anti virus or firewall software is not blocking it.

Your connected directly to a modem and not through a network.

If you downloaded firefox I assume you did not say to import information from explorer.

If yo don't have chrome download it and DO NOT import anythign and try. If this fails.

This will then mean that your issue is related to:

You may have a virus.
Antivirus is blocking it.
Firewall software blocking it.
Modem storing outdated data.
DNS issue with modem or ISP.
If your on a network.. network settings.

You could try calling your ISP. Though this is not really their area you can check it is not related to their servers not updating DNS. Have them visit the site when your on the phone.. can they see your images?
Other friends, Dr Byte and me might be other ISP that yourself. This we can see things fine.

This would then mean it is your modem, network or PC and not your ISP.

This must be very frustrating!

Everything else in the site is visible. It's jusy these five pictures.
I can't see them in the zen cart html editor to. I just see the blue frame of the picture link around and blank inside.
In the page the blue frame is not visible.

Call nortons support and ask how to allow that website if your unsure how to allow. Their support techs should guide you through.

I would guess probably being blocked.

OR at your own risk.

try lowering security momentarily or disabling. Only do this breifly and see if site loads if it does it is definitely Nortons and remember to put security back and call them.

As suspected, you've most likely got your norton software configured to block banner images or something as part of your surfing protection settings. And, since those images are sized like common banner ads are, it's flagging them and blocking their display.

I put Norton ads manager on OFF and i can see the banners now.
