Template not working after upgrade from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9h

Recently upgraded from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9h and followed instructions exactly. Upgrade was successful and all product content has readded without issue. However, when I select the template all I see is a blank gray page.

I checked view source and I can see the header but no content after the style sheet code.

I have checked FAQ's and documents and don't see this mentioned anywhere. Do i need to have the template recoded to match the upgrade?

Template selection is stored in the database
So I do not understand why you had to select it??

You can switch to the classic and see if there is any issue with it
Other wise something did not come across correctly

yes the classic works just fine and so does the blue stripe.

it is just the custom theme that is not working

If a so called "blank Page" even if gray, check the tutorial
