Hi there
Firstly, what a pretty template.
Secondly, what did I do wrong? :D
This doesn't look like it should (I'm a complete beginner).

I deleted the title text and everything went back to normal.
whew (wipes brow)
is there anyway to change the title without messing everything up?
New Zenner
also...
I would also like to add a link to the footer... is there anyway besides the ezpages to do this?

JaylaStarr--you can not edit the index.php file or any other php file using dreamweaver. It will break the files.
What title are you trying to change?

It really is impossible for me to help you without a link to your site. It looks like you have not selected the template from the admin. You need to read through the install.txt file and follow the installation instructions.

The easiest way is via the ezpages but you could also edit the includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/ashley_pink/footer_menu_defines.php.
Thanks,
Anne

Hi
I looked around but didn't understand what I read
I want to install a custom template, so I uploaded the custom template folder with Filezilla to public_html/zencart/includes/templates. I read the Tutorial about blank pages, but I haven't touched anything in the files. Also, all the files uploaded fine.
What am I doing wrong? Is it anything to do with me renaming my admin folder?
Thanks in advance,
M x

Did you activate the template?
admin > tools > template selection
and reset the side boxes
admin > tools > sidebox layout > reset

Hi Anne,
We're going with Ashley Pink on yet a third site:
http://www.findmyquinceaneradress.com/
PROBLEM: When a dress is added to the cart, it pushes the Search field/button down into where the ezpages go, as per this screen shot:
http://www.findmyquinceaneradress.com/images/ashleypinkscrnshot.jpg
This apparently happens only on my computer, as my sister does not see the problem.
Nor do I see the problem on our site here:
http://www.bestshortpromdresses.com/
For some reason, on our problem site the "checkout" text in the pink heading is much too close to the search field.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Hi
Yes, I hadn't uploaded all the files, doh! Now I've uploaded them, but I have a blank page. I'm really very stupid when it comes to php.

I'm retracing my steps through the install file to see if I can fix it.
New Zenner
I followed the instructions and uploaded via method 2:
==================
Upload Method 2Use your online file manager to upload the files. Ask your web host how to get to your File Manager. A simple way to upload this template with File manager is to zip up the includes folder, and name it "includes.zip". So basically you upload includes.zip into the folder that contains the "includes" folder (the root of your zen cart store, where admin, cache, download, includes, etc. are located). After uploading includes.zip, click on it, and choose "extract file contents", and it will then magically place all files where they belong. NOTE! Your file manager may vary! Be sure to BACKUP your includes folder before doing this.
The files went where they were meant to, but I just have a blank page.

Hiya
Yes, but I'm just getting the background colour and nothing else. Also 'sideboxes/languages_header.php' is not showing up in the sideboxes menu. I followed these instructions:

2. SQL File for Column Layout Grid Module (Optional)Run the following SQL commands into your database.
The easiest way is to open Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patch and paste them in the box and click Send.INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value,
configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order,
last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function)
VALUES ('Product Listing - Layout Style', 'PRODUCT_LISTING_LAYOUT_STYLE', 'rows',
'Select the layout style:<br />Each product can be listed in its own row (rows option)
or products can be listed in multiple columns per row (columns option)', '8', '40', NULL,
now(), NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array('rows', 'columns'),');INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value,
configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order,
last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function)
VALUES ('Product Listing - Columns Per Row', 'PRODUCT_LISTING_COLUMNS_PER_ROW', '3',
'Select the number of columns of products to show in each row in the product listing.
The default setting is 3.', '8', '41', NULL, now(), NULL, NULL);=============================
3. Select the TemplateLog into your Zen Cart admin:
Under the "Tools" menu choose:
-Template Selection
-Edit
-Choose "Ashley Pink" from the dropdown menu
-Click updateIf you do not see it, confirm that ALL files have been uploaded for this template, especially includes/templates/ashley_pink/template_info.php
===========================
4. Reset SideboxesIn your Zen Cart admin:
A. Go to "Tools" then "Layout Boxes Controller"
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the reset button.
B. Find box sideboxes/languages_header.php:
Click the green circle "E".
Specify "Single Column Sort Order:"
Click "ON" for Single Column Status.
Click "update"
C. Find box sideboxes/currencies_header.php:
Click the green circle "E".
Specify "Single Column Sort Order:"
Click "ON" for Single Column Status.
Click "update"
D. Open your site in your browser and view the template in action.
I got stuck here, because even though the sideboxes header file is uploaded, it's not in my Admin menu. Then, seeing my site is still a blank page, I got a little emo and went to watch The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
:D
Here's what my site looks like. I'm totally new to this, so there's no data to risk losing; I'm not going to upload any products until I have the tech stuff nailed. Which might be some time, by all accounts...

This is the path to where I think my ashley pink files are, they must be in the wrong place. I sent a zip file to includes and my FTP unzipped it and put the files in their various places.
/public_html/zencart/includes/templates/ashley_pink_1-0
New Zenner
Praise God, I've fixed it parties
I was uploading them to the existing includes folder, instead of creating a new one, as illustrated in this thread.
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92303
It works now. :D

That is more confusing as you should have only ONE /includes folder and not have to create another one

The FTP merged them into one; for some reason when doing it manually, it wasn't working. Anyhoo, I'm on a roll now, thank goodness. Wait 'til I try and change the site title...

Hmm, I am not seeing the problem either. What browser are you using?
Thanks,

IE8.
But for some reason it's now okay. Maybe a browser cache problem with my computer?
