dynamic page url

Hi all,

I have looked everywhere for this, and the terminology that I have found is dynamic url?
What I would like to achieve is a page url like this:

https://www.mywebsite.co.uk/printed-business-cards (etc)
and not:
https://www.mywebsite.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2

So that all my categories pages have a SEO friendly url.

Any idea?

What you want is not "SEO-friendly" but "human-friendly". Modern search engines have no problem deciphering and indexing dynamic URLs. Content is the really important part.

Nevertheless, if you really want human-readable URLs, there are several SEO mods for Zen Cart available in Free Addons. I'm glad to see that you don't want to have .html on the end, as that doesn't fool SEs, just makes it harder for them to do their job.

Do you know how I would go about testing SEO on my website, I have a feeling there is to much duplication which would effect my google ranking.

Zen Cart v1.3.9 incorporates a "canonical link" for its pages so that duplication of this sort will be minimized or eliminated.
