Reduce the Main page header image to rise the content below.

Hi,
Mainly I tried to reduce the height of the main page's top image (the top image we can see on all of our zencart pages) to rise the page content that is below (from the first horizontal categorie list of zencart and below) .

The image is reduced but the layout that is below doesn't go up.

Secondly I would like to use this top image as a background of the zencart top page, to be able to write some text on it.

Would it be possible?

It would help if we could see the site. You might check what the height of #logoWrapper is set to in the stylesheet.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking. Your header image is 1427px × 244px (scaled to 1264px × 216px). If you want it smaller, you'll need to make it smaller in your image editing software.

Yes, I reduced it to 1427 x 145 and changed the size indicated in includes/templates/template_default/images.

Doing this I hoped the beside whole page would go upper. But nothing goes up. It just leave a blank space between the image and the rest of the page.

Would it be possible to reduce the image, get the rest of the page go up and use the image as a background to write text on it?

You need to redefine the logo height and width:

Thank you GJH42 but I need to keep the wide picture. And even if i reduce the height the below page doesn't rise up.

Those are the default settings. You can change them to whatever you want. Your template could have any number of custom features, so we need to see it live to give complete correct advice.

I don't have either message, and I wouldn't have deleted something with a link to an open problem site. I don't know what happened to your messages.
You might try sending it with the link broken by spaces, just in case some kind of forum spam filter is giving a false alarm. I know the forum obfuscates hotmail addresses in pm's unless they are split.

Or you can just delete the entire height: 231px; line, as it is not necessary to specify it if you want it minimized.

I'm afraid not. If you don't want your domain name searchable, you can add a few spaces in it when you post so it is no longer one "word". The posting guidelines explain this.
