Displaying only HTML after editing main page

After editing the main page (using the Define Pages Editor), only HTML is displayed on the store main page (only in the area controlled by define_main_page.php). 1.3.9h is installed. Using custom templates, etc. If I edit the page offline then upload to the site, I get the same result.

Are you sure you are using 1.3.9h ?

This was a (temporary) issue with 1.3.9g and was resolved by advice in THIS THREAD.
