Paypal Duplicate Order ARGH

Hi There,

Im starting to go crazy :)

I have tried every solution under the sun regarding duplicate orders for paypal ipn.

Theres about a 30 seconds difference between confirmations

Any ideas on how to stop this?

The order confirmations are identical, except for the ID... I even get two emails. The only difference I've noticed is that the first order doesnt supply the paypal information i.e. transaction ID etc etc.

There were fixes related to duplicates in the last release.

You're missing a define() in your language file, else that constant name would appear with proper text instead.

I would need to see all your paypal logs. That of course requires that you have your paypal module enabled for debug-log-to-file in the module settings. Download them, zip them, upload the zip to your server, and PM me with a link to download that zip file.

The language file for the ipn module is the paypal.php language file. You're familiar with the file, given your other post about it earlier.

Yea i checked my paypal file with a new download, very strange it was the old one. thats a little worrying :D

Anyway I updated it now.

I'll try another purchase, I have log on. Where do I download the logs?

Is there a reason why you're using the older Website Payments Standard instead of the more contemporary Express Checkout?

Just coz the old one is free, where as Express is $30 a month i believe

No, Website Payments Pro has a monthly fee.

Express Checkout is free, just like WPS. And EC is way more reliable.

The zip you sent has only a single log file in it, which corresponds to a single IPN transaction.
There's no evidence there of duplication.
If the duplication is a result of a conflict with PDT activity, then I'd need to see the PDT log too. That's why I asked for all the log files from the transactions in question.

Thats all that was in the log folder. Payment doesnt go through once tho. Its confirmed twice.

The paypal information also only came with the second cofirmation.

But anyway.....

It worked... Express is the way forward.!!!!!
