How to Make Attributes Dependant on One Another?

I've spent hours scouring these forums (and a bit elsewhere on Google) and I'm having trouble finding an up-to-date, definitive answer to this problem.

I am setting up a Zen Cart for one of my clients (a printing firm) and he essentially needs all of the product options dependent on one another. I think the biggest brick wall I'm hitting is finding a way to create a quantity attribute that provides for selections of 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, and so on. I know how to create this, I'm just not exactly sure how to make the other attributes (like color, coating, rounded corners, etc.) dependent on that quantity attribute.

I recently read that it is "not currently possible to force attributes to be dependent on one another." However, this post was made in 2006. See: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=259224&postcount=3

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is this in fact possible yet? I do not have extensive PHP experience but I can usually figure the majority of it out. Thank you in advance for your time - I really appreciate it! And I'm sure countless others do as well.

I should have warned that I just started creating the page yesterday and it is far from set up. I need all of the attributes below "Quantity" to be dependent upon the chosen quantity. However, it looks as if that may not be possible :(

Is creating a new product for each quantity (250, 500, 1000, etc.) the only way to solve this? Or... pay someone to do it? :frusty:

I don't see what you want dependent and you have not specified

Looking at this, it would be 6 sizes and require a 6X matrix minimum and quite heady on the code required

Dependent attributes are inherently difficult, as there are countless mutually exclusive ways they could be dependent, so you are not likely to find an open source solution to your specific case. You will have to pay somebody to do it, in one way or another.
