Quantity by colour and size

How to I manage my quantity product by colour and size?

Example,

Dress 001
Red - Size: S - 5pcs, M - 4pcs, L - 2pcs
Black - Size: S - 3pcs, M - 2pcs, L - 1pcs

Dress 002
Green - Size: S - 7pcs, M - 5pcs, L - 8pcs
White - Size: S - 5pcs, M - 2pcs, L - 4pcs

In my Attribute Manager, I have changed my dresses with colours and sizes. But how can I associate quantity by colours and size in one product page? The product page only allow me to add overall quantity. It does not make sense if a dress has 2 colours and 3 sizes but only 1 quantity in a page :(

Hi Kobra! I really appreciate your super quick advice :) I tried to look at free software add ons and found this:

Some error occured in stock_attribute.sql while running the scripts via Install SQL Patches..

Thanks for the tips on using attribute based inventory.

Is it possible to limit to options in a drop down menu for attributes that have zero quantity in stock?

For example, if I have same product with three different colours:

• blue
• red
• yellow

How can I limit the selection on a product page to only show red and blue, if I've sold out all the yellow ones? Currently all attribute values that I set for a product are visible as selection no matter to stock quantity.

I have the same question as Mikkis. I do not want an attribute to appear in the dropdown if there is nothing in stock. I would think this would make my customers unhappy.

There are only the modules that have been contributed....
One would have to custom code this extention of it to not display...
