I am currently hosted with yahoo - yes i know will change - they do not allow files that start with . - therefore do not have any of the .htaccess files that are part of Zen. Have been told that this could have serious implications. Looking for some info of what exactly these implications are thanks

They are there for security reasons and some do not allow a dir listing so that folders present can not be snooped
