Shopping cart not working

Hi,

If a new customer puts something in their cart on my store and then tries to check out, they get the following timeout error message:

Whoops! Sorry, but you are not allowed to perform the action requested.

You are still logged in to your account and may continue shopping. Please choose a destination from a menu.

If they then go ahead and add another item to the shopping cart, then click on checkout it works fine.

This is really baffling!

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Shopping cart not working

Hi,

I recently upgraded to the latest version, and now if a new customer puts something in their cart on my store and then tries to check out, they get the following timeout error message:

Whoops! Sorry, but you are not allowed to perform the action requested.

You are still logged in to your account and may continue shopping. Please choose a destination from a menu.

Any help is appreciated.

Me too!
Recently upgraded from v1.3.8 to v1.3.9h
As far as I can remember, there are no addons
PHP 5.2.14, Zend Engine v2.2.0 @ Dreamhost

The one thing I've done recently is change the location of the zenstore site,
within the same machine (from one user to another user).
But I'm guessing this is not the source of my problem.

Here's a more succinct summary of what happens:

  1. When someone logs in to an account, and attempts to go to checkout
(obviously there is something already in the cart), they get the above error message.
  2. If they make any change to the shopping cart (add something, subtract something), checkout will then work.

Does this ring a bell with anyone? TIA

Re: Shopping cart not working

Broken /includes/classes/shopping_cart.php file. Most common problem is using an addon that contains an old version of the file, instead of the new version.

My version of /includes/classes/shopping_cart.php is correct. Still looking (frustratedly) for other addons that might need updating.

Could it be that I'm using the (deprecated) cc module that is causing this error?

(This is a problem, since when a new customer fills the shopping basket, then signs on to get to the checkout, they are greeted with the rude "Whoops! Sorry, but you are not allowed to perform the action requested.")

Re: Shopping cart not working

Arrrggghhh! Me too. I went through the entire upgrade process from 1.3.9g to 1.3.9h.

g was working perfectly but I am now plagued by this error.

The only add-on I have is Tabbed Products Pro and it doesn't affect /includes/classes/shopping_cart.php

Help!

Update
Loading the 1.3.9g versions of the "changed in 1.3.9h" files has it working again. I actually just loaded the non-admin files for now.

One interesting thing I noticed before reloading the old files - when I got the error, if I clicked on the product in the shopping cart and went to that page, then clicked on checkout, it would let me do it without throwing the error a 2nd time.

Re: Shopping cart not working

I too am having trouble with this... I accidentally corrupted my 1.3.9h cart so I deleted the folder and database completely and installed 1.5.1 fresh, I have been adding in my inventory anew and tried to process a sale using payal; I can get all the way to the end when it is finalizing the sale and then I receive:

Whoops! Sorry, but you are not allowed to perform the action requested.
You are still logged in to your account and may continue shopping. Please choose a destination from a menu.

Looking at this thread and others it only refers to problems with people who had upgraded. I am at a loss as to what is going on.

I have confirmed that my API information was added correctly etc!!

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Shopping cart not working

Actually the thread also talks about using mods with outdated files in newer versions. Are you sure your mods will work with 1.5.1? There are a lot of changes from 1.3.9 to 1.5.x
