Turning off product description

I need to NOT display the product descriptions. I went to Configuration->All Listing and edited Display Product Description to be 0 (Off) but I still see the product descriptions. What's going on and how can I stop the product descriptions from being displayed.

That works BUT only for the "All Products" selection/listing

If you are expecting that to affect the product listing, new product listing and others then it does not - see the individual listing settings

Great. Now I just need to know which setting to change in admin. I don't want to have to change, remove, all of the product descriptions. I just don't want them displayed for a while.

We don't want them showing anywhere at all. No listings.

Each listing has it's own setting in the asmin - - Disable for each listing class

I've gone to every listing I can find in Admin->Configuration and set every display product description to '0' (zero) but I'm still get the product description showing in two of the center column boxs, New for the month & Featured. here is the store

Also when you select a specific product the description is also still shown.

I believe you missed the setting in the Configuration ... New Products ...

As to the Centerboxes ... the Product Description does not show in those, by default, so this sounds like you have customized code that addes the Product Description to it ...

Look in the files:
/includes/modules/your_templates_dir/new_products.php
/includes/modules/your_templates_dir/featured_products.php

If you are not using the templates and overrides correctly, the default files are in:
/includes/modules/new_products.php
/includes/modules/featured_products.php

and you should start ...

Also when you select a specific product the description is also still shown.
The product info page You will need to create a copy for your template of tpl_product_info_display.php

and comment or delete this block from the file
