Fast & Easy Checkout not allowing customers with an account to checkout

I'm having a little problem with returning customers who forget they already have an account and fill in the form to create a new one. They're supposed to get an error saying their email address is already in our database but due to the mod Fast and Easy Checkout for some reason the error isn't appearing.

As a temporary fix I'd like to allow them to create a new account even if their email address already exists in my database. Is this possible and if so how do I go about doing that?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me. I'm desperate, I'm loosing orders because of this :(

You posted in General Questions and this really sounds like a FEC issue and there should be a support thread in the contributions sections of this forum - ans maybe others have had this issue and found a solution
