But can anyone add a background image to the sidebox?
PLease anyone know how?

You would find the id of the sidebox or other container, and add a rule to your stylesheet giving a background to this container. We can give detailed advice if you let us see your site with the model list active.

Unfortunately I am building locally, any chance of a "generic" how to, I would be so grateful.

Your current stylesheet is unlikely to be useful. What would be useful is an excerpt from View Source that includes the HTML for the list container.

I don't see anything related to Model List code there... <span class="pf_selectbox_name"> refers to some other mod or feature.

I cannot find any Model List code in the output you have there. Model List code will start with <div id="modelList">, so a rule like

#modelList {background: #aabbcc url(../images/yourbg.gif) left top no-repeat;}

would give it a background image and an underlying bg color.

Hi, I installed the module but I have 2 problems.
1 I would like to display images instead of the model name in the Sidebox. I felt like in the instructions, but does not work. I would like to do in order to scroll the images.
2 Hover Sidebox I appear on the products in all installed languages ​​(Italian and English).
How can I fix it up?

It is not possible to show the model images by default. You would have to edit the database lookups and the output code in the PHP files (principally /includes/modules/your_template/model_list.php). The instructions in the readme are for showing the manufacturer images.

I would have to see your site to better understand what you mean by "Hover Sidebox", and what you want to fix.

Hi, I tested this mod and I think I will use it. But... is it possible to hide the products that are no longer active (turned of)?

When products are not in stock for a longer period, or when the estimated delivery time is not known I turn them of (to prefent long term backorders).

Creating the list with your addon also shows products that are turned off.

Maybe it's not possible (i'm not a programmer), but was just wondering..

I'm sure it would be possible. I would have to research the database lookups to get that information; with that, it would be easy to add a check for product active before displaying it.

Or probably, I would add a condition such that only active products for the manufacturer would be returned from the db, thus requiring no change in handling.

Thx gjh42. Actually I did test it now on a testshop in ZC 1.5. Works fine for as far as I can see. Maybe there there 'must' be changed something in order to work 'correct' with 1.5, I don't know...

Sorry, I was not referring to the standard manufacturer drop down or scroll. More like how you have this set up.

You can easily insert the model list display anywhere you want, as described in the readme. The CSS could be altered so that the whole list content (manufacturers and products) is hidden until the containing div is hovered on. The principles of this would be the same as for the existing behavior, just applied to different elements (one level up).

I have installed this mod 2 times following the simple steps yet i cant get a list to show up anywhere.
