URL issue

as even if i leave them with the www. in the configures, and DONT have the .htaccess file in the root directory it still wont let me login
There is some other issue???

Are you behind a router?
Might need to run from a cmd prompt if you are using a win box

ipconfig /flushdns

With the www files
When you can not login, what is the url in your browser?

Many routers handle DNS and maintain their own cache

Re: URL issue

Okay, so really strange
Ive managed to sort it

All i did was revert them all back to as they were, with the .htaccess file deleted, then added the www.'s into the configure files, and left the .htaccess file out of my root directory and issue is resolved.

Will look alot more professional now, and especially when the SSL is running on it.

Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction my friend :)

Much appriciated indeed.

Re: URL issue

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.ymydomain.co.uk$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mydomain.co.uk/$1 [R=301]

Escape literal periods.

The additional ( ) ? is required otherwise HTTP/1.0 requests with blank hostname in request result in infinite redirect loop.

The [L] flag is required to end mod_rewrite processing with this rule if it has been matched.

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^(www\.example\.co\.uk)?$
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.example.co.uk/$1 [R=301,L]
