Lots of Visits but very few sales

Hi

My online site http://the-ishop.com/fairtrade sells fair trade products. I have had a few sales but I have noticed that a few people go to my checkout but then they complete there checkout.

Any advice.

More than likely your loosing your sales because you don't have a secure site. You desperately need to buy and install an SSL certificate on your site to secure if you want most people to enter their precious information.........and these days, with all the identity theft, personal information really IS precious.

Re: Lots of Visits but very few sales

...additionally, you've got your site set up on a subdomain linked to a folder, so all the data is being pulled in from fairtrade.the-ishop.com and people are directed to this folder the-ishop.com/fairtrade.

People are suspicious about being redirected and it's also causing delays in loading your site.

Juts put it in the root of the-ishop.com and put a redirect from the fairtrade folder to the root. Or, buy a domain which is more relevant to Fair Trade goods, put your Zen Cart site on that and redirect people from your old domain to the new.

Basically, you've made a mistake in the way you set it up originally and will have to sort that out now - plus install a Full SSL Certificate as Get Em Fast advised.

So if you don't have your store on your domain and it's in a folder off on it's own, it's not good?

My post wasn't about setting up the website in a folder and redirecting from the root to the folder. It was about the way in which the subdomain was set up.
