Submitting the order through Email rather than proceeding to check out?
Hello everyone,
Needless to say I am new to Zencart (v1.3.9d). My problem is unusual and I could not find a similar issue in the forum or FAQ.
I cannot accept PayPal because PayPal does not allow receiving money to Sri Lanka. I also cannot afford a VISA/MasterCard processing merchant account. My store is catering to the local market and the only possible payment option for me is direct bank deposit. (Money orders/Cheques take time).
But I would like my buyers to be able to browse through my items and easily add items to a cart which calculates discounts, shipping cost, total amount etc, which is why I chose ZenCart. What I would like to achieve is this;
- The buyer browse through the store and adds various items to his cart. (This part is fine - it is already done)
- When the buyer finishes shopping he presses the Check Out button.
- Instead of showing him a payment getaway, Zen Cart compiles his order and sends me an email with details of his order.
- I send him an invoice with my bank account details and instructions of Payment via email. (This part I can do manually also, so if you can help me with the above step it would be great)
Can this be done? I tried changing my store status to 2 (Showcase with prices) but this replaces the add to cart button with a "contact us" link which defeats the purpose. This way the buyer has to send me mails saying I want 2 of that and 4 of this etc. He will simply not bother with that hassle.
Thank you very much in advance.
